Hello

My name is Lawrencia Lawrence, and I’m a survivor, a truth-teller, and the voice behind DontLetHimWalk.com. I created this website after experiencing sexual assault at the hands of a local doctor and being failed by the very systems meant to protect me. This site solely exists to share my story, expose the injustice I faced, and amplify a message that too many survivors are forced to carry in silence: we deserve to be heard — and we will not be ignored.

Sincerely, Lawrencia

My Story

I’m sharing my experience after receiving treatment at a chiropractic clinic operated by AICA, located at 3775 Venture Dr, Duluth, GA. This is not an accusation—this is my truth. What happened to me there has left a lasting impact, both emotionally and physically. While I recognize that others may have had routine care, my visit changed my life in ways I never could have anticipated. I believe it’s important to speak openly about what I endured, and I hope that sharing this can help others feel less alone.

During that visit, Dr. Alexander Steele thought it was okay to grab the back of my neck, caress it, and rub his penis against my thigh four times — without my consent. This was not a misunderstanding or an accident. This was sexual assault. I was there for care — and instead, I became the target of a disgusting abuse of power. I reported what happened the very next day. But instead of protecting me, the system protected him.

Gwinnett County PD Refused to Investigate

When I filed a report, the Sergeant Rachel Lasky told me Gwinnett County PD had "more pressing matters to tend to like more violent crimes" and I had to file a civilian warrant myself — placing the entire burden of prosecution on me, the victim.

I begged her to investigate and she refused. She wouldn't even get his statement.

She even discouraged me from filing the civilian warrant, saying I needed his birthday to file and if I didn't have it then, I would have no chance at justice. I contacted internal affairs, who told me that this was "standard procedure" in situations like this.

So, I went to the Gwinnett County jail to file the warrant. There, I was told that — according to Georgia Penal Law — what happened to me wouldn’t classify as sexual assault. That's right! The act of my Doctor rubbing his penis on me is not classified as sexual assault in the eyes of Gwinnett County. So I settled for simple battery and public indecency. I waited four excruciating weeks for the hearing. I showed up in court alone, without a lawyer, and stood in front of a judge who clearly had his mind made up.

"He's a Young Promising Doctor with a Bright Future Ahead of Him"

On March 26, 2025, Judge Deepak Jeyaram ruled there was no probable cause to move forward. No charges were filed — because it was my word against a doctor’s. He dismissed the case on the grounds that:

  • There were no witnesses (it was just the doctor and me in the room)

  • No physical evidence (as if there would be any from him rubbing against me)

  • And lastly, because Dr. Steele is a "young promising doctor with a bright future ahead of him"

This logic gives predators more protection, not less. It tells them they can get away with it — as long as they wear a white coat. In Judge Jeyaram’s exact words: “I wouldn't feel comfortable moving forward with bringing up charges, because this would open the door for anyone to come and say they were sexually assaulted.”

My Truth — In My Own Words

I don’t have footage because there's no cameras in the procedure rooms. I don’t have a room full of witnesses. But I do have:

  • Text messages I sent to my partner immediately after it happened, panicked and traumatized

  • My testimony, which has never changed

  • The emotional trauma I’ve carried ever since

  • My willingness to take a lie detector test

  • Evidence that the clinic never fired him — he’s still practicing and still seeing women alone

I remember how I felt leaving that clinic — humiliated and ashamed. I went straight to my car and messaged my partner, because I didn’t know what to do and couldn’t believe what had just happened. Even in my shock, that message was my first attempt to reclaim my voice.

This website — and this public outcry — is my second.

AICA, Dr. Steele, and the Gwinnett County Police Department tried to take my power away. I refuse to stay quiet. It’s time I speak my truth.

What This Has Cost Me

This wasn't a misunderstanding.

This wasn’t just an uncomfortable moment.
It was sexual assault — and it’s affected my entire life.

I still remember the look in his eyes and his smile when he assaulted me. It's the same look he had on his face when the judge said he was a free man and no charges would be file.

  • I’ve lost sleep.

  • I've isolated myself from love ones.

  • I’ve have panic attacks in places I used to feel safe.

  • I’ve struggled with anxiety and my mental health because of this situation

I no longer trust the medical or justice system — and I no longer believe that victims are protected. As much as I try to live a normal life and forget, I'm constantly taken back to February 20th, 2025.

So I’m Going Public

If the legal system won’t hold him accountable — I will.

  • Hold Dr. Alexander Steele accountable for what he did to me

  • Shine a light on AICA’s failure to protect me when I sought help — and their ongoing decision to let him keep working with vulnerable patients

  • Demand accountability from the very system — and from Gwinnett County PD — that dismissed my pain and silenced my truth

This is how I heal. This is how I fight back. This is how I ensure no one else has to suffer in silence or gets harmed by him.

I Won’t Be Quiet
